EASY DRAGON FRUIT SMOOTHIE BOWL
This smoothie bowl with dragon fruit is extra creamy because of the frozen banana. You can add extra frozen fruit as well, like raspberries, strawberries or blackberries. There are no sweetners in this recipe, so this is truly a bowl of vitamins.
WHAT IS DRAGON FRUIT?
Dragon fruit, also know as pitaya or pitahaya, is a tropical fruit that’s low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants. Some people say it tastes like a cross between a pear and a kiwi. The most widely available variety has white pulp with black seeds, though a less common type with red pulp and black seeds exists as well. The latter is the one we used in this recipe.
HOW TO MAKE A SMOOTHIE BOWL WITH DRAGON FRUIT?
This recipe only takes 5 minutes to prepare. You’ll need a high-speed blender to mix all the ingredients. Peel and slice the dragon fruit. Add the frozen banana, raspberries, plant-based milk and dragon fruit to the blender and mix until everything is smooth and creamy. Top your bowl with some fresh or frozen fruit, seeds (chia, flax, pumpkin, hemp), nuts or granola. Enjoy!
